An ISO TANK is a commonly used tank for transporting liquids.

An ISO Tank is a Marine tank container which is built according to the ISO standard (International Organization for Standardization). ISO tanks are designed to carry liquids in bulk, both hazardous and non-hazardous liquid product .

The tanks are made of stainless steel and surrounded by various types of protective layers. Different skins can be used on an ISO tank depending on the type of cargo it is carrying. They are shaped like a cylinder with manhole access at the top, with one valve above and another at the bottom.

As ISO tanks are built to the ISO standard for shipping purpose, the frame which the tank sits in measures about 6.06 meter long, 2.42 meter wide and between 2.6 meters high. The tanks vary in size and type and can carry between 21,000 to 40,000 liters of liquid products.
